  Hmmm i wouldnt completly agree with that run down wheres pokemon- it pretty much gave life the the turn based RGP and Zelda OoT it inspired a generation.

  I don't agree about your pokemon comment really there were plenty of turn based rpgs before it, though it was still pretty Innovative in ways. I agree with a lot off the list though, nice seeing games there I grew up playing.

  Pokemon was a pretty innovative game in it's own ways when it was first released, although like Gary said. There were plenty of similar turn based RPG's around, before it.

  Not sure which came out first, the first gen Pokemon or Dragon Quest Monsters.
  
  The two are pretty similar, in terms of monster-collecting, but DQM was the first to implement the breeding aspect to a monster-collecting game.
