Killzone 2 vs. Call of Duty 4

xsynergyx | July 18, 2007 | Video | Playstation 3
Killzone 2 and Call of Duty 4, both fantastic games coming for the PS3. Which is better though? Killzone is a short franchise, but the game has been expected for a very long time and it sure wants to live up to it's hype. Call of Duty has more games and has been running for a long time, based on real events. Which will be better? You decide in this video comparison.

The grass, trees and shadowing look AMAZING in CoD4. In general though, Killzone 2 looks better in my opinion.

Call of Duty 4 was the most impressive thing to me at E3. In it's early stages, it looked too cartoon-y, etc., but now...they've improved it and I always liked CoD's gameplay. I have to give it up to CoD4 on this one.

I don't think they're comparable. THey're both great AAA games.

Killzone 2 takes it... Call of Duty 4 still looks incredibly last gen in places, sure the lighting model is stunning but i mean it still looks rather dated i mean, animated 2D sprites in the distance for billows of smoke i mean just becaue you will never reach them in the game itself doesn't mean you should cheap out, i mean you cannot reach alot of the clouds or smoke in Killzone 2 but everything there is volumetric and real, Killzone 2 graphically is probably the closest we will get to playing a true animated movie this generation and the gameplay seems to back it up aswell.

They are both looking very incredible, but they do also look like the same game in some area.. hmm

They picked the wrong trailer for killzone though, there's a E3 trailer without the stops... So it's continous.

Killzone has a much better atmosphere than COD4. COD4 is going to be multi playform, Killzone will be exclusive so you can kinda tell which one is going to get more work.

I'm with Sten there, and it's definately getting more of my attention than CoD.

The graphics of Killzone are amazing, especially the weather effects and the fire too. Makes it stand out from other similar games.

Both are looking quite impressive and i'd have to have more information than that as to which i'd buy etc.
