Metal Gear Solid fan-made movie in the works... Here's the trailer!

Gothic Girl | July 20, 2008 | Video | Playstation 2 Playstation 3
Gamers have been hearing rumors of a Hollywood Metal Gear Solid movie for years. But while fans wait for that, let's take a look at a little fan-made movie that is currently in the works called "Metal Gear Asynja".
Created by TM Gear "Metal Gear Asynja" is (apparently) a parody of the MGS series, and it has slowly but surely been gaining notoriety on the 'net.
Here is the first teaser trailer ...

History so far:

We started out early 2006 with this project. After a few months the general idéa had taken form and began preperation and the search for props. Early morning September 9 the boat left the harbour at Kapellskär. Still in early post production we are looking forward to bring you the final cut. But until then, here is a little sample.

I really like how they've pulled off the shooting sequence. He falls like the enemies do in the actual game =D.

Is this animated, or real or a combination? I'm a little confused over it

The soldier is CGI. (to show off the dodgy AI and movements that enemy soldiers had in MGS2).

      Everything else is real.

lol, I don't think Snake would ever shoot so recklessly...

Either way, it looks like it could be good, but only for a fan-made movie. Low budget films are fine, but I hate when you can really tell that they're low budget.

EDIT: oh wait, it's a parody? Okay, the shooting was fine, then, but I now have lower expectations of the film, honestly.
