Call of Duty 5: World At War Trailer

zeazzz | July 09, 2008 | Video | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
This Call of Duty 5 trailer seems very epic and powerful. It seems as if they are going for a "Bad Company" style, as they focus on the single player elements first, and then the multiplayer. The graphics look amazing and they game probably will end up being on the game of the year lists again.
Call of Duty titles seem to be popping up faster than Saw sequals, and that is actually a scary thing. Though Modern Combat seemed to randomly be created and released, it was probably amongst the best in the series. So maybe a lot of Call of Duty games aren’t necessarily a bad thing, but let’s just hope they don’t start to lose any of the quality and fast paced entertainment that they are known and loved for.

What comes after 4? Sure, the title itself is World At War, but people are still going to call it Call of Duty 5 just because they can.

This is the same trailer that was released last month. In fact, you linked it as one of the related articles. Good going.

Indeed the COD numbering system ends and instead they'll just be taking creative liberty with the titles.

Cool trailer but it's been out for quite a while, we put it last month on video.neo link in higher resolution without the age gate.

I know Ill call it COD 5 even though it has no 5 in the title. As for the game activision better not screw up what infinity ward did in COD 4 that was the best war game ive played in a long time.

It's a tough call, Treyarch is already wrapped with the game for the most part, the engine didn't need to be done from scratch as it was using the COD4 engine.

If the machete and flamethrower stay in the final game I'll be pleased enough as long as I get hand to hand combat time and the ability to burn my way through bad situations.

If Treyarch took a lesson from Bad Company, I hope they added in some destructible environments. Just take the flamethrower, burn through a few logs, and use that new route to flank some position.
