Armed with a camera, a disastrously limited understanding of Japanese, and a mandate to take pictures; A young and new UGO editor embarks on an adventure to find the best outfits of TGS 2008.

Sure, TGS had plenty of great games to play, booth babes to admire, and bland corndogs to gnosh, but what we enjoyed most was checking out the latest in cosplay fashion. Cosplay, or costume play, recently became a popular form of expression for Japanese teens and young adults. They dress as their favorite pop culture characters, often from anime or videogames, and parade for photographers and fellow cosplayers. At TGS, cosplayers focused on the gaming avatars--from Cloud to Snake, Shiren the Wanderer to Faith from Miror's Edge--that have become permanent fixtures in gamer culture over the past twenty years.

These were Tokyo Games Show's cream of the cosplayer crop.

Ah, we had another 'best TGS cosplay' article a short while ago. This is a bit different though. Well, more people in it anyhow >_> Faith makes a reappearance here.

Rikku girl's face totally isn't like Rikku's >_> Not a bad costume, from what I could see XD

Morrigan costume was good. But the girl just didn't have the....ahhhh, 'assets' for the gig >_>

Liked the Axel more than the Tidus TBH

Faith is god, but TBH, it pretty much requires a bit of eye paint (Mascara or something), and some easy to find bits of clothing that don't need modification. But the girl has the right look, so at least she chose the right character to cosplay as (based on her looks. People can cosplay as whomever they like, 'tis their right).

List was alright. I wonder if there will be a 'worst cosplayers' list out some where? Lol

I noticed parts of the messages (picture comments on the site) disappeared? Probably the stupid PS3 browser's fault though >_>

Friggen PS3 cursor keeps disappearing (typing in here, 'want to run plugin message' then it is gone >_> I spy a glitch! Oh, also appears when I DL a pic. So whenever a special PS function pops up, the cursor disappears >_> Pressing triangle twice makes them appear properly, back on the browser.

From all the TGS reporting I've seen, there's been a lot better choices than what's on this list..Albeit, I have to say the girl that did Faith is one of the best I've seen yet from this years TGS.
