EA has released some new screens and video of Spore. It explains the beginning of the game and what you need to do to become top of the food chain. Looks like the game could do with a little AA but looks promising.
A new trailer has been released showing the first stage of Spore known has Cell Phase. You start the game a single cell organism which is dropped onto a planet by the way of a meteor. From there you are basically trained in the ways of Spore and how it all works. There you can play has a meat eater, vegetarian or both. You earn DNA and collect parts to develop you creature further, make your choices wisely. Your choices have long lasting effects on how your creature will develop so you have to make sure you get only the good stuff. Once Cell Phase is complete you can finally crawl onto the shore and enter a 3D-World.

    Very original.

To start out as cells. The 1st step of life, this makes it interesting.

You can stay in any phase forever and anyway it takes a long time to progress to the next phase.
