Not as much as CoD4, imo.
Hm, not bad graphics, and it's still quite a way to go. Maybe I'll give this CoD a chance.

I really don't like the WWII setting, but looking at these screenshots, it may actually turn out well. Maybe Treyarch won't mess this up. I'll give it a chance.

WWII is back which is good. It appears as though you get swords and flamethrowers? That's a pretty magnificent touch. Can't wait!

WWII coming back is good? Every game from the CoD series has been WWII. The whole WWII storyline has been overused in FPS games especially CoD. But, CoD4 had a nice change of pace, and storyline to it. CoD4 moved from the WWII genre to the Modern Warfare genre and it provided a change, and a huge/successful/awesome change at that. Going back to WWII for CoD5 is a complete mistake, if these game doesn't back up on it's multi-player I think it's going to be a huge disaster IMO.

This is WW2 but where is the cliche buildings that are miraculously perfectly intact after a british bombing raid, this game looks to be far more factually correct by sticking to the baron wastelands and woodlands of these areas, i think if they can pull this off this could be the first WW2 game that is actually truer to the actual war and what it would have been like for the soldiers out there.

It's set in the Pacific theatre. So mostly wooden huts and jungles I would assume.

If it's rated mature, it might be damn good. If it's teen, it'll suck horribly. How can you portray the horrors of the Pacific theatre if there's no violence?

      quote
Opening scene: Japanese commander stubbing a cigarette out in the eye of a prisoner before slitting his throat - the blood splatters and dribbles down the side of the tent you are being held in. He turns towards you to deal out the same treatment but help arrives just in time.
I wouldn't worry about it being rated Teen. The Japanese army in WWII was certainly the most bloodthirsty, so it would be disappointing if they didn't portray that to an extent.

Eh, the screen shots look alright. I will definitely give this game at least a rental. What is really important here though is how the Multiplayer is going to be like. If the Multiplayer ain't as good as COD4's Multiplayer, then this game got no chance. And I don't know if Treyarch can top or even be on par with Infinity Ward in the Multiplayer Department. I guess all we can do now is just wait and see.

Multi player in 3 was better than 2. So maybe the trend will follow with 5 and 4.

    Tbh, these graphics look pathetic.
Treyarch are going to fail hard, 2 games in a row by them in WW2? Big fail.

Just give them a chance, are these the final graphics? NO, these are just some screens with a film grain on it. Already the graphics surpass some xbox 360 games. The graphics look better than COD 4 so I dont see how you can say there "pathetic"

      Have you played it??? NO
Do you know any gameplay elements??? NO

I think your just being nieve to a great game. Just because one game went all modern everyone is killing treyarch for going WW2.

Before IW announced cod4 was going to go modern no one was complaining then.
