Retro Review: Rygar: The Legendary Adventure (Electronic Theatre)
"Rising Star Games are set to bring Rygar: The Battle for Argus to European Wii’s this very day, and so this week’s Retro Review is a pleasingly topical selection; Tecmo’s Rygar: The Legendary Adventure for the PlayStation2. Released back in 2003, Rygar: The Legendary Adventure was welcomed by critics, but it’s placement on European shop shelves resulted in the title going largely unnoticed in the territory. With Tecmo having decided to redesign the title for Nintendo’s incredibly su..."

Mitchell also stated that he's expecting Grand Theft Auto V to be released in the 2011 financial year, and there's also the possibility of a new GTA title for the PlayStation 2 next year.

Mystery Capcom Game Revealed: Sengoku BASARA 3, not Onimusha
Remember that Capcom teaser site that people foolishly believed it was for Onimusha when it was clearly on the Sengoku Basara portal and not the Onimusha portal?
Capcom has unveiled that title today, and lo and behold, they have announced Sengoku Basara 3 for 2010 release. The game will involve the famous Battle of Sekigahara in some form. No platform information has been released.
The game's site, with all the crossed-out year goodness, can be found here.

"This mid-year update allows Plastic Wax to reveal 2009 collaborations that had been kept under wraps for months: the opening cinematic and unlockable cinematic for Activision’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game, two different thirty-second television spots that mix live action and CG (which involved animating the classic Slimer character) for Atari’s Ghostbusters, and the E3 2009 CG trailer to launch the new Relic/THQ title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Gambit Headed to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2?
Despite being unannounced by Activision so far, the odds of everybody's favorite mutant cajun appearing seem to be extremely favorable. Judging by the UK box art, Gambit's mug has graced the cover of the game making it pretty absurd for him to be left out, unless they change the box art. Since there hasn't been any official confirmation yet, keep this filed as a rumor for now.

10 ways the gaming industry has screwed you
"The march of technology is supposed to make things better for consumers, but these days it seems videogame makers strive to find new ways to take more of our money and give us less in return.
We are not communists here at Game|Life. We want publishers to make financially prudent decisions so they can continue to deliver games that fuel our addictions. But some bone-headed business moves benefit everyone except us."

You might remember the recent teaser site that Capcom has posted up. It's been presumed that the site is there to promote a new Sengoku Basara (Devil Kings) game. However, with some recent changes to the site, speculation has now shifted to the possibility of it being related to a new Onimusha game.

Sony patents PS2 Emulation through the Cell Processor?
Sony has recently patented the means of emulating a PS2 via a PS3. Technically it's completely possible, if not overkill being as how most of the hardware the PS3 uses is likely a step above that of the PS2's. This would enable any PS3 without Backwards Compatability to be able to play PS2 games.
This means that Sony intends to bring B/C back eventually, if not soon. Possibly even launch it alongside the PS3 Slimline, when/if that ever is released.

Ghostbusters Review: Fan service, great movie game, or both?
"1995, I huddle close to the TV as the Ecto-1 screeches out of the Ghostbuster’s HQ and tears down the Manhattan streets with the goddamn iconic theme song playing on and on as my tiny four year old brain laps it all up while my stressed mother shouts at me to “TURN THE *bleep*ING VOLUME DOWN!” But I don’t listen because the silly woman doesn’t understand what the movie I am watching means to me. Simply put, I was a Ghostbusters fan the moment the song hit my TV screen. I watched it ..."

Erin Andrews to host new NCAA Football 'Road to Glory' Legends Mode
When it was announced that Erin Andrews would be in the new NCAA Football 2010, we were told she would be featured in a new mode. As it turns out, she is in a renamed mode -- the old Legends mode is now being billed as the new Road to Glory mode.
It looks like they've beefed up Legends mode with some virtual news segments featuring your athlete and some of your game highlights. Sounds interesting, but the real question is if they beefed up the action on the field.

deviantART user Nicobass has taken it upon himself to recreate some of Lara Croft's classic poses for the modern era -- comparing the old with the new (as tombraiderfanboy has done in the image to the right) is a bit of an exalting experience.

When Games Speak - Dialogue in Games
"Dialogue. You can find it in any game. Whether they are seen or read, every game has quotes; some are memorable, some are easily forgotten. Maybe we experience it while obliterating our friends on Xbox Live, or while we’re being chased by ghouls down a dark hallway with only a baseball bat for defense. Sometimes it waits, hidden in the depths of a game’s menus, quests, inventories, narration–or as easter eggs to be discovered and enjoyed. Any gamer who has ever laughed, wanted to break ..."
