NA Wii Shop Channel Update: 05/26/08: Get Your Guns, Paddles & Vitamins Ready

TwilightPrince | May 26, 2008 | Press Release | Wii
This week's update will see two new WiiWare games, along with two Virtual Console games.

The first WiiWare game is Dr. Mario Online Rx, developed by Arika and published by Nintendo. The game features a classic mode (in which you have to use vitamins to exterminate viruses), two battle modes, and an online multiplayer mode. This game was one of the WiiWare launch titles in Japan.

The other WiiWare game made available this week is Family Table Tennis. The game features four characters, four table tennis-tastic stages, and three different modes. (single, versus mode, or minigames) In Versus mode, you and a friend can play against each other to see who is the better table-tennis player. The game's cel-shaded graphics and addictive gameplay make it appealing to everyone.

The two Virtual Console games this week are Metal Slug and City Connection. In Metal Slug, you play as Marco and Tarma, blasting your way through stages of intense action, in the hope of overthrowing General Morden and win back the stolen weapon, the Metal Slug. In City Connection, you go on a road trip to tour famous sites and cities around the world. You jump, shoot cans of oil, and use balloons, all to prove that you're the ultimate traveller.

Recap:

  • Dr. Mario® Online Rx, Nintendo, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points
