Awesome. I just got done watching all 3 movies in succession (over 3 days) so I'm all hyped up on the Bourne right now.

The movies are great (the first especially) and I hope this game can turn out to be just as awesome.

What will make this game awesome is if they balance out the gunplay, hand to hand, and escaping moments well. All too often games like these will come out and you just end up shooting for hours on end and then you get to play an awesome hand to hand or escape scene that lasts all of 10 minutes. I'm so tired of games that have awesome mechanics that aren't put to good use because the developers decide to just have you shoot from behind cover for hours. SCREW THAT.

What is most fun about Bourne isn't even the gunplay, it's the excitement of the chase. If this game could pull off the adrenaline rush that is being chased then it would be freaking amazing. It needs to be frantic and fast paced but still graceful. Assassin's Creed is way too slow and too clunky. Every motion is AC is stop and start stop and start. In order to have a fun chase scene your character needs to be graceful but move at a speed seemingly too fast for human reaction. No slowing down nonsense. I want it fast and overwhelming.

They need to put Bourne at a disadvantage and have it be more about escaping with your life rather than shooting every baddy in the area and moving on.

Damn't... I don't want them to screw this up, it has such high potential...

Tbh, I think they've already screwed it up. That looks as though it focuses in gunplay, and the car driving looks awful, and besides it doesn't even look like bourne. Ah well, I hope im proved wrong and its great.

It doesn't look like Bourne probably because they didn't get licensing for Matt Damon. It's not about what he looks like, it's about what he does.

No, in the oxm preview they said that they were focusing on making everything painful. What happens is you have a button for weak attack and one for strong. You combine for combos. As you land you build up a bar and then you perform a very painful kill or disable. Like kicking someones kneecap, or using the environment.

Its all about the book anyway, i feel it is a good idea not to have Matt Damon's likeness in this game, it makes it more about the game and less like a crappy movie to game tie in.

Agreed. I never really envisioned Matt Damon to fit the role of Bourne when I had read the first book before the movies came out, so this should make the game more enjoyable, especially if they tie everything in like jmac353 mentioned.

Just to weigh in, I really like Matt Damon as Bourne. I've never read the books but as far as action heros go, Matt Damon can actually act, *bleep*ing great actor if you ask me.

I'll have to read the books eventually, I do like reading but I'm currently busy reading some Bret Easton Ellis.

Indeed. Damon's great as Bourne in the movies, but he wasn't the first person I was thought of when I was thinking who would have been good for a movie. I don't remember who it was, but I remember it definitely wasn't him.

Agreed. Having Matt Damon as Bourne in the game isn't such a good idea.

    The game looks kick ass.

And having Damon NOT as Bourne was a very good idea. How many movie-based games have there been where the star of the movie plays the hero in the game, and has been good? The only one I can think of is Riddick out of like, 30+.

Can't wait to play it though. Looks intense.

Speaking of Riddick, whatever happened to that remake...

Dark Athena's probably still in the works.

As far as I know it's still on the way

Why is this news? Wasn't this announced ages ago?

Looks *bleep*ing sweet! I can't wait. I'll defintely give it a shot. Looks kinda like uncharted in the beginning but the combat system is just something else. ^^

The graphics and animations could use a little polishing, but other than that, it looks like it could be a good time killer if anything.

I think the hand-to-hand combat looks great. I'd like to see how it turns out.
