Silent Hill: Homecoming Box-Art ... Did the artist miss the point?

Gothic Girl | September 09, 2008 | Pictures | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
When you think Silent Hill, you think thick fog, disturbing monsters, an evil town and gory "otherworld", and a poor average-joe caught up in it all.

It appears as though the official Silent Hill: Homecoming box-art has snuck onto game sites with little notice and it's decent enough, if not a little "horror movie" cliche, but it doesn't seem to capture the point of Silent Hill.

So what do you all think of it?

I could kinda compare this to Silent Hill 3's cover art. Which is basically focusing on her worried face. I don't think this one's that bad and certainly is creepy but I do feel that it's giving a little bit of the game away.

Its not that bad. Its a lot better than SH3's cover art, I can tell you that. And the only game in the series to have fog on the cover was the first game. So I don't think its bad at all. Not as good and creepy as SH2's cover but certainly not the worst of them.

Not as good as it could have been. It makes me feel old.

I actually think the boxshot works really well. It may be cliché, but for a game known as "Silent Hill" it just shouts spooky sixties movie or something.
