The release of the first Ben 10 game may have slipped under the radar for most core gamers, but it hasn't been twiddling its thumbs in idle for the past year. According to the publisher, Ben 10: Protector of Earth has hit 2.5 million units in sales since launch last October 30th for the DS, Wii, PS2 and PSP platforms.

A little under a month ago, D3Publisher released Ben 10: Alien Force, the sequel to Protector of Earth. Wonder how long it will take for the sequel to reach the sales milestone achieved by the first game?
"We are thrilled to see the strong consumer response to Ben 10: Protector of Earth and the continual climb in sales demonstrates the dedication of fans around the globe to this tremendous franchise," said Yoji Takenaka, president and chief executive officer, North America and Europe, D3P. "We look forward to even greater success with the recently released sequel, BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE The Game."

"Having our first-ever Ben 10 interactive game be as successful as it has is a huge accomplishment for us and this is another milestone of which we’re very proud," said Christina Miller, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises, the network’s global licensing division. "We look forward to continued success as we build the brand’s interactive franchise with a great partner in D3."

It certainly won't matter to Ben 10 fans, particularly as most if not all of them are quite young.

Actually you didn't say it with more elaboration. Silver did. All you said "does it matter to the consumer"? Which could be anyone. Not really talking about young fans. I'm 22 and I like Ben 10 and alien force. So your comment big could be referring to anyone.

Well, Ammy and Issun mentioned that it's wierd the game is selling well becuase it's not that good, and I mentioned that it doesn't matter to the consumer whether a game is good or not.

I'd never heard of Ben 10 and ended up playing it on PSP on the bus on my Dads PSP (who he bought for my brother). I did not find it amusing and find it hard to understand how it could be selling so well, it's just your average game.

It's selling well because there's a TV series about it.
