New Prince of Persia is Named and Dated

Twisted | May 17, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
The new Prince of Persia game has been given a name and a time frame as of when it will release. It will be called "Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent" according to the last issue of Game Informer. It has been dated to around October to December in this year.
A few tidbits of information have sneaked out regarding the new Prince of Persia game, including the title and launch window.

The new game will be known as Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent, according to the latest issue of Game Informer. Without any other information, we can't even hazard a guess as to what that's supposed to mean, if it means anything at all.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will launch in its third fiscal quarter, meaning we can expect it between October and December. We're penciling it in on our Chrimbo 08 list already.

For more details and the first shots of the game, take a look at our Prince of Persia information page.

It's a multiplatform game, I'm almost sure of it. Outside of the games we already know about, most newly-announced games are multi-plat.

Regardless what anyone says, I think this new art style is cool and will add a unique feel to the game, being we're so used to what has been present in the first three.

But that name...it must obviously have a higher meaning. If not, then thats a shitty name.

I don't have a problem with the graphics in of itself, it's just that PoP doesn't seem like the type of game for it.

The graphics look amazing. I think cell-shading looks awesome when it is good. And from those screens, it's superb. Must buy!

I'm excited for this. PoP always makes for a good game and those new graphics just look gorgeous. The name is pretty damn cool as well. Definately better than some of the other stupid names that were getting thrown around before.
