Snake gets a little too excited over Assassins Creed!

Silver Mirror | May 13, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
Remember that April fools gag Ubisoft and Kojima put together a few months ago? It involved a gameplay trailer of Solid Snake going about his regular duties in MGS4 but dressed in the same garb worn by Altair in Assasins Creed. However this was not just a one time thing, this costume will actually be unlockable in the game. Now you can cleanse the Holy Land with a M16!
That Ubisoft/Kojima April Fool's joke was pretty elaborate! Snake running around MGS4 dressed as Altair, looking for all the world like it was actually in the game...so would it surprise you to hear that it wasn't really a gag? Yeah, that's right. It was announced at the MGS4 wrap party today that MGS4 players will indeed be able to unlock an Assassin's Creed outfit for Snake

Hahaha! That's cool. They probably wanted people to think that it was an April fools' joke when it wasn't. A nice surprise, maybe?

Or they realised how good a reception it got and that it would be an incredible waste to do all the rendering and what not just for one video.
