Wii Fit: perfect rehab for stroke victims?

Reports suggest that the capabilities of Wii Fit and the Balance Board could be perfect in helping those poorly with brain injuries such as stroke, cerebral palsy or partial paralysis.
There have already been countless stories about how titles such as Wii Fit have been integrated into rehabilitation programs for poorly patients, and now it looks like Wii Fit and the Balance Board will have a part to play too.

    Hmmm, thats sounds like a good idea, and its not as expensive as some programs they have for rehabilitation. Plus, the patients enjoy it, which is very good.A fun way that works, why cant that be a solution to every thing ??

      Definately, and the price is quite reasonable, than other equipment that costs thousands of dollars =p

    That's very cool, actually. It's easily accessible by all people, opposed to certain types of physical therapy and rehabilitation, as zaracxia said above me. On top of all of that, it is a way to enjoy what you're doing. Looks great

    Articles like this disprove the notion that "video games are just entertainment". They can obviously be applied in other fields with great results.

    I've also heard about this helping people recovery with physical therapy. Fat kids and people should really get this as it is fun, you don't have to get out of your house and it could work up a sweat.

      They're making games healthy for everyone. They're completely changing the sitting around games to the more active games which the wii demonstrated. Excellent, =)

    Then the people who have had strokes can play fun games that everyone can play

    I'm not surprised, since the game is really good for a workout
