Zoo Hospital makes leap from DS to Wii

Twisted | May 07, 2008 | News | Wii DS
Majesco Entertainment has announced Zoo Hospital on the Wii. The game is about you taking care of 48 different zoo animals, give them surgery, and other things.
It’s something of a surprise that the craze to develop virtual pet simulations on the Nintendo DS hasn’t infiltrated the Nintendo Wii quite so much, but Majesco Entertainment is making sure it doesn’t miss a trick, announcing today that Zoo Hospital will be released in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Like its handheld counterpart, Zoo Hospital on the Nintendo Wii will allow players to get down to the nitty gritty when it comes to taking care of some 48 different, sickly zoo animals - canels, dolphins, macaws and gorillas all included. Surgical techniques to be carried out with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck include dentistry, X-ray of organs and removing foreign bodies such as gallstones.

Hmm, I've never been too intersted in these kind of games, but now that it will be on the Wii, I might have to rent it. Using the Wiimote and Nunchuck as surgical tools looks like fun!

I've never really liked games like these either. I do like games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, though.

Anyways, this game seems interesting. You help sick animals? There are people I know who are going to want this. =P

^ Agreed. It is a new type of game, and I suppose it suits some players. Nothing I've personally loved over the years however
