You know, I never liked the Wii to begin with, but I'm really questioning what Nintendo is doing with all these ports. They're already making a killing off the Wii's price, and aside from the big titles like Smash Bros and Mario, the thing is filled with all these little games that nobody even buys. On top of that, they keep dumping these rehashed GameCube games on it. Even if it doesn't turn out to be a fad or a gimmick, it seems like its being treated that way.

Capcom and Retro are making these ports for Nintendo; Nintendo isn't making them on their own.

Yell at Capcom and Retro.

I wouldn't mind seeing this. Maybe stick in a bonus disk or something too, and also possibly add a multiplayer in somewhere. =D

Not everyone had a chance to play all the great games last generation, so rereleasing cheap updated versions of classics is great for both those players and the publishers. Also, playing new versions of classics is often much better than playing a sequel in said series, since many of them offer little update to their predecessor. I should also say that plenty of other publishers are doing this as well. Look at the success of retro downloadable games on all platforms, the success Square Enix has seen with 3D remakes of classic FF titles, the near constant calls for updates to FF 7 and Golden Eye, the success of titles such as the Orange Box.

That said, I can play both MP 1, 2, and 3 on Wii already. And since the first 2 MP's are much, much less focused on the shooting aspects of the game, the GC controls work fine for the game.

Wow, that'd be cool. I haven't played them, but they're supposed to be good.

Actually, I'd rather have them release a brand new Metroid game instead of re-vamping the old ones.

That would be very nice comming from a metroid fan, i think that this would be a big success!
