First video of Resident Evil 0 on Nintendo Wii

Twisted | April 26, 2008 | News | Wii
A new video for Resident Evil 0 has been released. It's being released in Japan on 10th July, 2008, and there is currently no scheduled release date for North America.
Capcom has already seen massive worldwide success with both Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles on Nintendo’s immensely popular Wii console, with the duo easily surpassing a million sales each around the globe. So it was hardly any surprise to hear yet another entry into the popular survival horror franchise was on the cards. Now the developer has lifted the lid on the game by releasing the first ever trailer…

Due for release on 10th July, 2008 in Japan, and not currently scheduled for a release in the US or across Europe and Australia, the game is being priced at the very reasonable cost of 4,190 yen (~£20 / 26 Euros), which in Japanese terms is around a third less than normal priced releases. This is being deemed as very appropriate, though, considering this will not be a remake on the scale of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, rather more of a simple port that does not even make the best possible use of the Wii’s motion control set-up. This seems to be more a case of Resident Evil 0 not meeting the sales expectations of Capcom on the underperforming GameCube and the company hoping for a new lease of life on the Wii, tapping into the Resident Evil fan-base that has now been built up on the console.

    Dear Capcom,
Please stop sending leeches into my bank account in the form of ports. I know you've released a wide number of RE titles and even put Jill in MvC2, but one of these days could you make, maybe, a NEW game? Even RE:UC was just reviewing the previous games; no new content.
    Signed,
    Chris

PS. Put more shotgun ammo in. There's never enough shotgun ammo.

      Epic WIN!
Anyway, you could always chase away the leeches by not buying the game.

She raped in MvC2. But yeah, I want less ports and more new RE titles. Is that too much to ask for?

Is there really any point in re-releasing these freakin games? Enough is enough. Sure I could see RE4 being put on the Wii, but now this? Why? It wasn't really even that good. Why not try and fork out the dough to do a complete remake of RE2 for the Wii instead? RE2 was probably the best of the [original] 3, so why not do that instead. Atleast you'd be doing something different for a change.

This is lame. A remake, or at least some extra content would be much better than just a simple port.

And yes, Jill was great in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, but Albert Wesker would've been much better.
I mean, c'mon! Albert Wesker could run circles around Jill. Literally, with his superhuman speed and agility.
