    Updates, including game patches, are always very fast. Even the major Dashboard updates are over in less than thirty seconds. I have no idea how they manage to do it, since that includes download and install time! Impressive.

        That's exactly what I first thought Cdemon. The maintenance and update together seem to hint at some sort of infrastructure change to prepare for Grand Theft Auto IV's release next Tuesday.

      I've had my 360 for about 9 months. I've had my PS3 for about 6 weeks.
      
      I've probably had the same amount of updates for both consoles.

        _{I had mine for 10 months, i know what im talking about. It was more frequent 5 months ago. And that cause the system neeeded those updates. The last two update was the first ones in 2 and half months. And one of them wasn't even scheduled.}

        Have you had a 360 to compare it to?
        
        I've had about 3 updates (excluding the initial update when I connected them to the internet for the first time) for each in the time scales I posted above.
        
        And obviously you'd know about how many updates I've had better than myself.
