Want To Know What The Mysterious CountDown Is For?

Linkin Park Fan | April 16, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
And article was submitted by Krunal about a mysterious countdown on the Japanese Playstation site. Well it was revealed a little earlier then expected and it is a game. Its the new Siren game. The game is 90% done and will be released in summer with a demo to be released earlier.
Yup, just like we and pretty much everyone else thought, that blood red countdown clock was counting down to a PS3 Siren game. The upcoming issue of Japanese game magazine Famitsu confirms it. Dubbed Siren New Translation, the PLAYSTATION 3 survival horror title is currently 90 percent done and apparently a reworking of the first game. It will go on sale this summer on July 24th, and a demo will be released on April 24th. There's still 45 hours left on the blood red clock. So... Not much of a countdown, huh?

Siren, so GG was correct! 90% done, too? So we'll likely get it by the end of the year. ^^

      *Kicks*

Just because something is a remake, doesn't mean it won't be good >_>

Not saying it will be as good or better than the original (no, I haven't played it), just that it being a remake doesn't equate to suckage >_>

Its a remake of probably the most under rated horror games ever made, Siren was the best its gameplay was slightly flawed but nothing matched its atmosphere. A next gen remake should make it the definative horror game.

Just because its being remade doesn't mean its going to be good. How do you know they won't change anything the original version had, and do it worse.

Until i see something different and being good, im not saying its going to be good. Besides this probably isn't going to the States anyway so i won't play it regardless.

Yay! My guess (that i stole from kotaku) was right!

    - - -

I only played the demo of the original and couldn't find a copy of the full game, so I'm glad that it's being remade. It's a game I've been interested in for a while.
And maybe the series will get some decent hype this time around, so we actually see the sequel in teh West!

Siren was made by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, so it's pretty much an exclusive.
