Surfer Girl, a almost notorious source which has a knack for fishing out the information the game industry doesn't want you to see has released a new batch of rumours. This time she claims a teaser trailer for PS3 title Heavy Rain is on the way, Next Level Games next project will be a downloadable title for the 360 and that Beyond Good and Evil 2 may be in the works
1) Omikron KARMA has been killed because the David Cage did not feel the story was up to par; however, something not Heavy Rain has taken the place of that title.
2) Also, I can confirm I was right (as were many others), that PS3 title the BBC journo said was going on about is indeed Heavy Rain. The teaser trailer, which will see release sometime in the next few months, follows the main character from a morning ritual to the frantic reaction to a seeming lacuna in time (the subsequent journey is the game's main plotline) and the explanation of the game's title. The technology is quite impressive, all the characters in the game are aware of the environments and contexts that they are in--it effects how they behave, what they say, how they feel, et cetera--while taking in their personality and personal experiences into account so that a character's behavior is consistent, realistic and varied.
3) Beicouver (or Vanjing, whichever one prefers) developer Next Level Games' next title is a downloadable affair for 360.
4) A Montpellierian says Yoshitaka Amano is hooking up with Ubisoft, possibly for Beyond Good & Evil 2 (not the most surprising thing in the universe, as the Ancel-Amano relationship is rather amicable), which three Montpellierians say is just starting production (which contradicts what I previously heard...I think and totally disappoints me).
