Your DS to help you learn Japanese, French, German and Spanish

chautemoc | April 09, 2008 | News | DS
Mind Your Language is an interesting title that will help DS owners everywhere learn any of four foreign languages, including Japanese so you can properly play all those imports!

Happily, the title can actually be defined as a game, as it features minigames and levels to help the player progress in their level of skill. Can't help but think maybe Knuckles in China Land is doing a better job, or hey, that Level 5 could do it better again with a new Professor Layton title based on this premise. The story could follow you and him as tourists in a foreign city. Intriguing, no?
Aimed at ages eight to 15, players pass through four different levels that get progressively more difficult. There's a variety of mini-games to aid learning, plus a library where you can look up words and search for popular phrases.

Learn English and Learn Spanish will be the first two titles in the series released in time for summer, while the remaining three will follow sometime in the autumn.

That's really cool. I knew that idea would release on the DS someday.

If I buy it, then I won't need to take language classes at the high school anymore.

I agree with you, was just thinking of the convenience of it being on a handheld.

Looks pretty interesting but I'm sure I dropped German and Frech at school for a reason.

Sure it will help a lot of people though.

Is each language a different game? If so, I can foresee tons of wannabes picking up Learn Japanese, haha.

    ...Including myself.

Japanese DS Word Coach ftw. My Weabo side will be pleased when I can watch Raw episodes of my favorite anime on Youtube and Veoh.
