Vito Raliffe | April 08, 2008 | News | XBOX 360
These are 12 high quality scans of Gears of War 2 from the May 2008 issue of Game Informer. They are pretty large, so go to the source to check them out.
These scans are from the May 2008 issue of Game Informer which features a Gears of War 2 exclusive cover story. The screens look much better in the magazine, so pick it up as soon as you can! I want to get this out to you guys as fast as possible, so instead of summarizing the article myself, you can read it for yourself in the scans, or, you can check the link where there is a summary of all the important points by SHOTEH FOCK OP at NeoGAF.

Go to the source to check out the scans.

Definitely going to be awesome. I haven't gotten the GI yet, I usually get it from a friend who hasn't finished it, but man I can't wait to check it out. My most anticipated game in the past several years by far.

Due to some complaints about the size of the images, I made a section where they are 50% of their original size, for easier viewing.

I quite like the comparison page but it was obvious that they were relatively the same, GoW2 was just using filters do give it a gloomier and more atmospheric feel, i just hope they aren't going to do that just put in lots of past areas and slam some filters on it and add the damage models, i mean if they do that then thats just cheap.

I was expecting a bit more i mean it is 4th gen software on the Xbox 360, i don't know Gears of War 2 graphically looks like Gears of War just with more atmosphere, the graphics aside from some steeper looking bump maps haven't excelled thus far, i hope for more since this game could just get me to buy another Xbox 360 to continue the story.

I know that, i am just one of these people that never quite listened to the person saying "you should never judge a book by its cover", i like to see a graphical improvement, sure the physics will rock but with a game like Gears of War it is all about the graphics to me.
