Nokia's N-Gage platform goes live

Xenctuary | April 06, 2008 | News | NGAGE Mobile
Nokia have launched their next-generation mobile gaming platform, N-Gage (not to be confused with the "N-Gage Game Decks" of yesteryear). Compatible with the majority of N-Series devices, N-Gage allows for mobile gamers to download, play and socialise all from a single application.

Those who registered Player Names during the N-Gage First Access Beta for the Nokia N81 (pictured) will need to recreate their unique nicknames. In addition, any saved games, Point Pickups and N-Gage Points accrued have been reset.
We are live! The games, the devices, and the community are all here for you to finally get your teeth into. The Forums are back up and the new N-Gage application is here.

There will be an official announcement on Monday, but for you, the N-Gage faithful we wanted to let you know we’re up and running! So come join our moderators in the Forums for our launch party, and start enjoying the next generation of mobile gaming.

Now let’s Get Out and Play!

What I love about N-Gage 2.0, aside from the great Xbox Live-esque community features, is how you can choose to bill purchased games either to a credit card or to your service provider. Makes impulse buys all that more easy to do!

Hmmm, maybe that's not so great after all...

But... but... how can I look like a douchebag while talking into the side of a PHONE? ;___; The old system was better; side talkin' was the way of the future.

Haha, sorry, it's only available to good looking phones now!
