Call of Duty 4: Double experience points weekend reaches Xbox 360 gamers

Xenctuary | April 05, 2008 | News | XBOX 360
To mark the Xbox 360 launches of both Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition and the Variety Map Pack, Infinity Ward is offering gamers double the amount of experience points for every match they play on a new map this weekend over Xbox Live.
To celebrate the launch of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition and the Variety Map Pack, Xbox LIVE will host a Double XP Weekend. Starting on Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6, players can earn twice as many experience points as they play the new maps on the Variety Map Pack specific playlists.

    OH COME ON.

The one *bleep*ing time my Xbox Live account gets hacked, there's a good weekend to play Call of Duty.

SCREW LIFE. SCREW LIFE RIGHT IN THE ASS.

That sucks for you, I'm in the same boat (somewhat).

Man, I wish I had CoD4 right now. Seems like a great weekend to play.

You're not missing out on much, guys. It seems Call of Duty 4 has returned to the "bunch of irritating kids shouting abuse down their mics" phase again.

With a catch, though. The double points only apply to the new maps. The PlayStation 3 promotional weekend last year rewarded double points across the board.

It wouldn't surprise me if a similar event were to be held for PlayStation Network users when the Variety Map Pack releases on the PlayStation 3.
