I'm downloading it as we speak. I'm going back through Condemned 1 on my PC at 1920x1200 max settings (just to brag) to beat it and then i'll be picking it up on the PS3 soon after. I still need a taste of how it'll play with the controller though. I prefer mouse and keyboard for FPS.

The XBL marketplace doesn't even have a C2 demo yet.

Oh? Didn't go on your usual "CONSOLE FPS FTL", I'm surprised...or is it because it's not a shooter and you need more buttons for the game???

In any case, I was gonna buy Condemned 2 anyways, but I might as well download the demo as soon as I can.

What do you mean need more buttons? You mean a full QWERTY keyboard doesn't have more buttons than any controller available?

Console FPS FTL definitely. It's why all console FPS, especially those on PS3, should allow mouse and keyboard support.

So I'm guessing the Mouse/KB compatibility depends on the developer? Explains why UT3 has it and any other FPS doesn't.

More buttons besides running, crouching, reloading, and shooting? I see a lot more context sensitive events here that probably use more buttons than a FP game would normally use.

Context sensitive buttons came to be because of the LACK of buttons on a controller. you DO understand that, do you not?

The whole point of a context sensitive button is to use ONE button to do multiple things based upon the CONTEXT (meaning the situation) present.

With a keyboard you could still have a context sensitive button, I mean *bleep*, a USE key is a context sensitive button. It's how I open doors and go up ladders in Condemned 1 on PC. It's not like I have one button for going up ladders and another for opening doors, and yet another for closing doors.

That doesn't sound like the way God of War uses it. What you're talking about is a general "Action" button. The point of any context sensitive button/s is to use those specific keys when the situation arises, not just ONE button.

What I was talking about was along the lines of "Grab a weapon with a button, block attacks with another button, swing the weapon in different directions with different buttons, etc." I don't believe Condemned uses that kind of layout anyways, but it's just an example.

Remind me, but isn't the controller more compact to make all available buttons on the controller POSSIBLE to be used with ease? Unlike a keyboard in which is scattered? Wouldn't it make sense that you only use one key so you wouldn't have to use any other key in the first place?

You have quick time events mixed up with a context sensitive button.

Quick time events are the events seen in God of War. Context sensitive buttons are along the lines of the X button in Resident Evil 4. It does everything except run and shoot.

Just finished playing the demo and I have to say I was satisfied. I have never played the first Condemned and this was a good horror game judging by the demo.

If I'm on the edge of my seat from the demo alone, im sure the full game is going to be great for horror fans.

You really need to play the first game to get a grasp of the entire plot.

Awesome. I just finished the demo and I am REALLY impressed. Adding motion blur to a game adds a whole lot, makes it look that much more realistic because it blends everything together more realistically. The graphics looked better than I expected although I still wish the freaking flashlight would cast shadows but I'm willing to get over it.

Also, the combat is PHENOMENAL! Much improved, very organic and the combo system works very well. I love how you have to press the two top shoulder buttons to grab a guy and then you can throw him into stuff. Freaking awesome. And fighting hand to hand is great too, I love how it goes into a quicktime event to do so. Very visceral. Very cool.

I want to check out that Condemned 2 demo, it is supposed to be a pretty good game (though it's gunplay leaves something to be desired)....

Why do all the good things come out when I'm away from my PS3 >_

Why dont you actually name all of them instead of saying, and more... in your article?

I heard Pain was in the UK store, that's the only one I'm looking forward to getting.

Because in case you couldn't tell Condemned 2 is the only worthwhile demo in this update.
