The goal is to not let you see how much of a let down it is compared to the original until you purchase it.

Has anyone noticed the WORST two
R6 games are the TWO that DONT
    have demos

That in itself speaks for itself

No demo , probly not worth getting

I don't see how it can be any WORSE than the first one. The storyline was badly written (So Rainbow Six was compromised...nice, took you a whole *bleep*ing game to tell us that AND leave us with a bad cliffhanger), besides putting you up with a no-name Logan instead of Chavez (R6 Vet) who's lines are pretty damn lame, the "tactics" of the game are much more straightforward than Ghost Recon's (So are the other R6 games from Ubisoft anyways)...which begs the question as to WHY people give props to R6V being tactical AT ALL...if anybody played the classics, they would KNOW tactics.

Anyways, V2 has more features and stuff like that. I really liked the first game's online...Seeing as the graphics are pretty much the same, no drastic differences noticed...I think this is more of an expansion than an actual sequel...in any case, I'm looking forward to the A.C.E.S. system works.

True, the previous R6 games were better in terms of tactics, characters, and some even with story, but the online mode is what really stood out for me with Vegas, the maps were quite fun, and who doesn't like a little customization?

They've up'ed the bar with this sequel, and yes it's a sequel...if you look at it with console games, there's barely any 'expansions.' That's what 'sequels' are for, to improve/update from previous games. What drastic changes were you looking for?

Mostly with the graphics...or some sort of new gameplay gimmicks (like A.C.E.S.), different settings, etc. Well yeah considering the upgrades they've done, and it is a continuation of the story...I guess it should be considered a sequel. Still, if it wasn't for the A.C.E.S. system, we'd be playing the same damn game with different maps, only it would just be using Custom characters all over the place.

And the settings barely changed too, I mean they barely changed throughout the game...the changes were mostly from fighting in Mexico, then in Vegas's streets but then it's just a chain of casinos...then after hours in casinos THEN we get to Dante's...which is another casino in construction...

What I'm saying is that...I know it's supposed to take place around Vegas and all, but Rainbow Six was better with completely different settings. Like the Original Rainbow Six, the first mission was in an abandoned house in the middle of a forest, and the next stage was a Museum in an urban environment (which you could change your camo to Urban or Jungle or whatever the hell you wanted too), see where I'm going with this?

Rainbow Six Vegas however is limited because they need the continuation, therefore they can't make drastic changes.

Yeah I understand, it doesn't necessarily appeal to the R6 vets, I agree. They can only do so much with that one street, heh. Well, I'm most interested in the online and customization, barely ever into 'shooter-related' stories. A.C.E.S. looks interesting, as well.

Agreed, the online is really the selling point here. Which is exactly why they're exploiting the Customization to the max here. Usually I would just go through Campaign first before going online, but this time...I'm just gonna go straight online and do some "Co-op"'ing.

This is quite a big let down for me as I was hoping to get the Demo just to see if I liked it or not, ironically that is what you do with Demos but furthurmore because I have been let down by recent TC games. Looks like I wont be getting anywhere near this.

Tidus, why are you talking as if you've played Vegas 2?

I haven't played Vegas 1 but my friend says its pretty good. So I might get this one anyway. You can just assume the game is bad because it doesn't have a demo.

      Just because a game doesn't have a demo doesn't mean it's bad. :/

There is always the option of renting it, although it isn't free. Either that or borrow it from a friend, at least that wont cost you any money.
