Multi-Platform Games: GamePro's View On The Differences Between Next-Gen Ports

Krunal | February 28, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
Whilst the title of the article says The cold, hard truth, I honestly can't believe it's the truth, someone's opinion yes, but no the truth; don't get me wrong, it could very well be correct, however I can guarantee that not everyone will see eye to eye with his views, and in some cases his experiance will vary to that of others, thus making his truth nothing more than his version of how he found the games, however that doesn't make this article any less of an interesting read, especially for those fanboys that want more ammunition...

Looking at games such as Assassin's Creed, Burnout Paradise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Devil May Cry 4, the author examines core aspects of the games to see which console the game plays better on.

Agree or not, comment below to give reasons why.
These issues are slowly being addressed, though, as many publishers are starting to churn out multi-platform releases with an eye for the PlayStation 3. LucasArts recently announced an initiative to make the PS3 their leading platform for development, joining a growing wave of developers seeking to improve multi-platform games heading to Sony's console. With any luck, this movement will result in better performance for all gamers, Xbox 360 and PS3 alike. For now though, just enjoy fragging terrorists, crashing cars, and slicing demons in half on your PlayStation 3.

That's a very interesting perspective, especially the COD4 one where I totally expected the 360 to take the edge. What's ironic is just the other day I was at my friends and he was trying to play COD4 online on 360 and it was taking him at least 10-20 minutes just to find a server to play in and when he finally did he usually had terrible ping too.

I saw this article yesterday, and I was tempted to send that one in, but I figured it would've raised up a shitstorm.

Correction: It is starting a shitstorm.

How so? There's hardly a difference, and dedicated servers make finding a game with a good connection easy.

But COD4 doesn't have dedicated servers for the PS3, so this list is indeed BS.

360 triggers are cooler since they're easier to keep your fingers on, and are shaped like real gun triggers. The PS3 triggers are convex, and while it's not slippery, they are still less desirable than 360 triggers.

The PS3 version of COD4 does NOT have dedicated servers.

All AAA games like Burnout,dmc4 and cod4 looks best on PS3.

gametrailers was being paid by microsoft to make games look better on x360 when in reality they arent.

Haha, I'd take that as sarcasm from anyone else, but I've gotten the huge impression that you're a total idiot. So, can you clear up which one of those is right?
