So with time they can afford to make things smaller a better design, cause lets face it, the PS3 is pretty big compared to 360 and Wii. So this is a possibility. And besides as years go by better materials cheaper and smaller can be used and less the cost of the console. Hell this model could really tip the war in there favor. Like a $299 or maybe one day $199 and with that cheaper than both Wii and 360 and a better sales for them. So i don't see how this isn't possible.
You could be right, but im just saying its not like they just made this technology last year.
Anyway why would I need a lighter PS3? I don't carry it around with me. I'm sure my concrete floor can take the weight perfectly fine.
Looks rather fake, too thin >_> Plus too fugly for Sony to actually release >_> The top just looks wrong compared to the boxy section that has the disk drive and stuff....
Plus, I don't expect they'll make a Slim until the PS4 is aobut to come out, I doubt they're even capable of making a PS3 nearly this thin yet >_>
As far as 'Come on Sony, no new ideas' .....what?
But I guess it's only a rumor.
New ideas? What are you expecting them to do with the PS3? A Slimline PS3 is really the only option. What did you want them to do, make a PS3 Drink; a PS3 with an 8-foot straw that feeds you whatever drink you want as you play? Or maybe a PS3 Twirl; a PS3 with a twist-shape? Of course not; those concepts are ridiculous. Anything other than slim is just unnecessary and rather silly. If you yourself can't think of a new shape that would be worth it, don't expect Sony to break their balls trying to do it themselves.
So, basically, it will have a big clunky power cube with the new design.
