SSJ3 Trunks | February 01, 2008 | News | PC
During EA Q3 2008 EA told 1up and other news reporters that the games in the Orange Box will all be sold separately. The games are supposed to hit stores by March 31st.
During yesterday's Electronic Arts' Q3 2008 fiscal year earnings call, which produced confirmation of Rock Band on Wii and revealed delays of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames and Battlefield: Bad Company, the company also mentioned that the new titles included in Valve's The Orange Box will soon be sold as separate releases.

"We are unbundling Orange Box and releasing separate PC SKUs, Half Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress [2]," said Warren Jenson, chief financial officer and executive VP at Electronic Arts.

The separate SKUs are likely to hit retail before the end of EA's fiscal year on March 31st, though further details (such as pricing) are not yet available. Also unclear is whether The Orange Box will continue to be produced, or if all five titles (including Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One) will solely be available in separate packages on the PC platform i

They better be sold for cheap, otherwise I think I want to just get Orange Box.

It does help those that already have the HL2 games, but even so, it's better to get the package deal, imo. It's not like it's that expensive...best deal ever.

i dont get it. the orange box is amazing value and can even be found in some places now for less than £20 (about $40), so why does anyone even care about the games being sold seperately? all 3 of the new games are out of this world and are worth alot more than the price of the orange box.

Because some ignorant people like me just want to play Portal and think Half-life and T-Fort should die.

Before you thumb down, look at the word ignorant.
