Wireless Nunchuck Adapter for Wii, anyone?

wohoo | January 29, 2008 | News | Wii Company
Nyko has been doing nicely for themselves by coming up with cool gaming peripherals. Too bad they're freshly announced Wireless Nunchuck Adapter s looks like of those wireless drills with a huge battery at the bottom.
Nyko has created a kit that turns your complete Wii controller wireless, doing away with the cord that connects your Wii Remote and your Nunchuk. Instead, you plug a wireless receiver on the end of your Wii Remote and plug the Nunchuk into somewhat of a sleeve that you can wrap the cord around to keep it out of the way. The wireless kit runs on two AAA batteries and runs for as long as 60 hours, according to Nyko. The price of this kit will be $19.99.

This sounds like it could be a good deal.

I'm tired of the wire connecting the Wiimote and Nunchuck getting tangled whenver I play Boxing in WiiSports.

This is a relief. I hated playing some of my favorite games and having the cord smack me straight in the face all the time.

The nunchuk looks really awkward to hold. Like the description said, it looks like one of those drill things.

I'm going to say no on this one, guys.

Even awkward to hold is better than the cable hitting you in the face while playing Rayman Rabbids. I may pick this one up.

Looks pretty useful. Means my cat will stop attacking the cord whenever I play on my Wii.

Does anyone know if either of Nyko's wireless solutions are compatible with 2-4 controllers in use in the same room?

That would be really nice if multiplayer games could all use the same wireless technology.

Won't be getting this. The wire connecting the Nunchuck to the Wiimote has never been of any annoyance to me. I just don't see it as much of an improvement compared to the Gamecube controller and the Wavebird.

That'll save a lot of people's consoles! You could easily pull the Wii down with the Nunchuck!
