Thank goodness for the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
And yeah...Mario and Japan? That has as much credibility as Halo has with North America.
So best RPG of ALL time? take that argument over to FFVII fans, I'd love to see that.
#2 - Metal Gear Solid is not an RPG. Why even compare it?
#3 - How do you know MGS has been in more 'best of' lists? Got any proof to back up your statement?
#4 - Try playing Super Mario RPG for the SNES before jumping to conclusions.
#5 - Just so you know, Square made Super Mario RPG. There are lots of Final Fantasy references, easter eggs, and even a boss from FF. (Culex) And yeah, SMRPG was the first RPG to use 'timed hits'. (which is quite popular in RPGs nowadays)
Attempt at being a smartass = Failure
2) Because MGS HAS been considered one of the best games of all times (notice I said HAS BEEN CONSIDERED? Might wanna take some notes) so I'm using high standards here.
3)In short, just about almost any resource you would look for has referenced MGS in a "Best of" list.
4) Unfortunately I did play Mario RPG, even though I rented the game, I still liked the FFVII demo on the PSX better, and I *bleep*ing hate turn-based games.
5)The same company could have developed it, I really don't give a crap, they're obviously not the same game, and let's face it, how many people care (besides the fans) who originated what game features nowadays?
And just for kicks:
SOOO Playing as blaze and tails if i can.
It looks like it will be a lot of fun for kids 10+.
