Sony explains why original PSP will not get Skype

mistermostyn | January 07, 2008 | News | Playstation Portable
Sony's Nick Sharples has outlined that the 32MB of memory on the original PSP means that it is not able to run Skype, which will soon arrive via a firmware update for the 'Slim & Light' PSP (64MB).
While the introduction of Skype software will certainly delight certain PSP owners, those who invested in Sony’s original portable videogame console might be left somewhat disgruntled by news that only the new re-imagined PSP will receive the Skype upgrade.

You can't use a memory stick as RAM, when the PSP was built to use memory sticks as storage genius.
