Super Smash Bros Brawl: Demo imminent?

mistermostyn | January 07, 2008 | News | Wii
Not usually the first port of call for gamers looking for pre-release and additional videogame content, the Nintendo Wii Shopping Channel could soon by playing host to a playable demo for Super Smash Bros Brawl - if rumours are to be believed.
Expectant Wii fans (im)patiently waiting for the arrival of Super Smash Bros Brawl – and its impressive canon of prominent battling Nintendo characters – are facing the possibility of receiving an advance playable demo of the game via the Wii’s Shopping Channel.

Wasn't this already proven to be fake?

I wouldn't be suprised if it's fake. There's no way they'll do this.

      Yeah, but we can hope.

We don't need a demo. The game is coming out in a month, a preview channel would make more sense.

It's fake, for sure. A couple characters in the roster shown have not yet been said to be in gameplay, and while it's still possible... I still must ask, who is Paula? Shouldn't they have announced her already?

It is fake, Fox looks nothing that that in the game, and Jigglypuff looks like he did back on the '64. There's also a very slim chance Ness is returning.

Yeah, demos aren't really neccessary at this point. I want to feel great when I play it for the first time as a completed, finished, brand new experience. If I wanted the demo, it would take it away when I play the actual game.

The attached picture isn't the "leaked" screenshot. Those are over here. This would be amazing if it was true, but it's very unlikely. Other than the fact that space would be an issue, Nintendo doesn't seem to be interested in Wii demos (possibly due to the lack of space).

Not feeling this one, why would a demo be released a month before the game's actual release? Demos are good for gauging the interest of the gamer and see if there are any problems that need to be addressed. The game's gone gold anyway, it'd be useless.

Demoes for stuff are massive; I can only imagine that I don't have enough space on my Wii and time in the world to watch Mario hit those blocks to download a demo.
