Warhawk for PS3/PSP discovered on ESRB site

Guticb | December 11, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 Playstation Portable
As some may Remember, Warhawk was originally a classic PS1 game. Recently, Warhawk for PSP and PS3 has appeared on the ESRB website with an E rating. Could this mean that Sony is going to release a downloadable version of Warhawk over the Playstation Network? It wouldn't be too surprising, considering the success of the Playstation 3 version of the game.

I wouldn't mind playing Warhawk on PSP.........I haven't purchased it for PS3 yet, because I have more game time with my portable systems lately.

isn't that the online-only one? nearly every psp game is laggy as all hell online. online only + psp = is a bad idea.

Really? I haven't utilized online play with the PSP yet. I would be more concerned with the controls. I really miss the right analog stick and even the two shoulder buttons at times.

I really doubt the PS3 kind of Warhawk works for PSP, though if they made it like the PS1 kind of Warhawk, I wouldn't see a problem with it. Just dogfighting in medium sized maps and stuff, cuz Warhawk is too huge for the PSP.

I played a few Need For Speed games online and they were laggy as hell, sometimes you'd be in a race and even though you're racing the other car in real time, sometimes on your screen their car would stay still at the starting line so you had no idea you were losing until the race was over. That was a while back though so I don't know the current online stability.

Also, this probably won't be an all online game seeing as they're talking about the PS1 game in the article. Maybe some online play would be added though.
