Microsoft Facing Halo 3 Class Action Suit

Donnelly | November 22, 2007 | News | PC Xbox
Yup, it looks like Halo 3 haters have yet another thing to get on Microsoft's back about; apparently it doesn't even work on the XBOX 360.

"Mr. Nunez's [the Plaintiff's] Halo 3 videogame repeatedly locked up, froze and/or crashed while being operated on Mr. Nunez's Xbox 360 console."

The full text of the complaint is available from the source in .pdf form.
Microsoft is facing yet another class action lawsuit, this one filed by a disgruntled customer who claims that despite the package in which Halo 3 is sold claiming the game is compatible with the Xbox 360, it does not actually run on the Xbox 360.

Randy Nunez of California launched the suit, which also names Halo 3 developer Bungie as a defendant, after purchasing the game in mid-October from a Gamestop location in San Diego. "Relying on defendants' skill and judgment to furnish goods suitable" for playing on the Xbox 360 console, Nunez laid down his $59.99 plus tax and headed home with his purchase. When he attempted to play the game, however, "Mr. Nunez's Halo 3 videogame repeatedly locked up, froze and/or crashed while being operated on Mr. Nunez's Xbox 360 console."

People will do anything for money these days.... that guy could have either gotten his XBOX360 fixed or got the game replaced... instead he's going to spend money on this lawsuit which he will lose since copies of most if not all others works.

And at most, Microsoft will have to reimburse him... and give him his $60 back.

What is it with people and their facisination with suing people for the stupidest things ? This guy's problem could be linked to either:

    1. Glitchy console
    2. Stratched disc
    3. God doesn't like him

It's ridiculous, normal people would just either return the halo 3 for a new one or get their xbox fixed if that's the problem.

The guy is just a *bleep*ing tool. Halo 3 pretty much works for everyone else, but when this ONE disk doesn't work that could easily be replaced, he sues Microsoft. Honestly, I'm betting the guy is some idiot who put gum in his 360 or something >_>.

No wonder real trials take so long there are too many of these dumb lawsuits out there. This is right up there with sueing a coffe shop for spilling hot coffe on yourself. People need to learn to use that thing in there head.

He could have simply switched for another disc instead of having to go through all the trouble of filing lawsuits against Microsoft. People these days...
