PS3 Firmware 2.01 now available to download

PS3 firmware 2.01 is now available to download. The latest firmware update improves the stability of the system in a number of areas including the web browser and PS2 games upscaler.
Firmware 2.01 Changelog:

* Stability during playing some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.
* Stability of System Software including Internet Browser and Information Board has been improved.
* Stability of the upscaler for PlayStation 2 format software has been improved. (Playability of PlayStation 2 depends on model)
* [Remote Start] feature is changed to avoid unintended power on.

    I got mine updated So far no freezing and such. Took me awhile to get a connection even though it said 45% connection

    I hope the next firm ware comes soon. 2.11 or is it 2.10.

    Oh hey is the PS store updated yet, i mean today is Tuesday the day it should be updated.

    It gets updated on a Thursday...

    Hopefully this also might improve some framerates in games such as COD4 and PES2008, as since 2.00, COD4 has struggled slightly.

      Normally yes, but since Thursday Thanksgiving a holiday, they moved it to today. There's an article about it. Im wondering when(time today) will they have the store updated.

      It is a good update it means people can finally play online again without getting signed out heh....

        SVR - Duhhh, it is a fix, not an update to the features, hence why it is a #.#X update, not a #.X update >_>

        I wonder if it fixes the signing out issue that was present for some, since version 1.4 or whatever it was?

    Hmm its a bit better. I've gotten one error since downloading the patch which is tolerable. A lot of people are dissatisfied with it though

    Has anyone PS3 froze when quiting a game to go back to the XMB. Cause it happened yesterday. Hopefully its a one time deal though.

    I have had it freeze twice from when I have been exiting the internet or when it has been searching on it, both times acturally it was on Gamegrep =/
