PictoChat is an SSBB Stage

Glotnot | October 22, 2007 | News | Wii
The newest, craziest SSBB stage yet has just been introduced, and it's the PictoChat stage.

Doodles appear seemingly randomly, and each has a different effect on the stage. These vary from the obvious, such as extra platforms, to the not so obvious, such as balls of fire.

Sakurai only told and showed us a few of the stages insane effects... PictoChat looks to be even stranger then the WarioWare stage! It seems as though this will be the hardest stage in Brawl to play on because of the carious elements you have to deal with while fighting.
There are only a few nonsense stages in the only "slightly" nonsensical Smash. But there isn’t any stage more nonsensical than this.

PictoChat?! What is THIS?!

It’s a fun little sketch-and-chat software with wireless functionality that’s built into the Nintendo DS!

At first, there’s nothing there. It’s just flat.

Of course, you can climb up on the doodles.

You may get knocked about by side winds.

There may be things you want to ride on moving around.

Hot! HOT! Are these flames?

Wow! A whale!

The doodles that appear will disappear after a while, and then something else will get drawn.

Oh, and on this stage, you’ll also be able to enjoy Mii Channel music and Wii Shop Channel music, too.

That's awesome! I'm glad they're coming out with great things for this game. I hope it's as good as it seems =o

This is probably the best stage so far. Hopefully new ones can be created or downloaded off the internet.

Wow. Not sure about the best, but that's definitely the most innovative stage so far. I love this, and the Animal Crossing stage best so far.

Hahaha! How basic. This is pretty funny though. I think it could actually be pretty fun, especially with those drawings and everything, wow. I really wanna play on this stage now XD!

Ah man I love how interactive it is. Flames actually being "hot" is awesome! I wonder if they will take this a step further and allow a player to edit the stage in real time via their Nintendo DS.

I doubt it will be like real Pictochat with hastily scrawled "lawl"s and phallic objects being appended to everything.

Wow. This was totally unexpected. Then again, this IS Sakurai we're talking about.

If anything, though, the totally unexpected additions tend to be the best. See: Sonic's confirmation.

If this has been confirmed (which it probably has) then i'm not suprised why they pushed the game back to February 10th.

'Tis sweet as Hell. I didn't like the layout of the Wario Ware stage, much. But this one seems to make up for it.

Speaking of the Wario Ware stage, I wonder how many of the minigames that they put into that stage. I'm gonna love the pictochat stage especially on wi-fi! It will be cool if you can add your name in the thing like in the last smash bros then it could say "Mark has entered A" and i'll be like who's mark?
