Little Mac in Brawl

Glotnot | October 18, 2007 | News | Wii
Little Mac is the newest character to be confirmed as an Assist Trophy for Super Smash Brothers: Brawl.

Some may remember him from the old game, Punch Out!! A fair number of people wanted him to be playable, but here he is.

It appears as though he dashes towards an opponent of the one who released him, executes a one-two punch, and then does a fantastic uppercut. He seems to act a little like Knuckle Joe, a Kirby character who was confirmed to be an AT.
Once there was a legendary man. He knocked heavyweight boxers many times his own size to the mat en route to a W.V.B.A. title.

Little Mac appears from Punch Out!

I can do it! I’m the one!

... But isn’t he a little small?

Don’t take him too lightly just because he’s small. There’s an authentic fighter in him.

A fierce dash!

One! Two! Powerful jabs!

And his special move is his uppercut!

Resurrecting this legend for the current generation is something we can all enjoy just a bit. He is an Assist Trophy.

A great choice, nice job Nintendo.

I love that picture with him in front of Samus.

Wow, he is little. Even Samus and Ike, the fairly human-sized ones, dwarf him. I thought it was just those other boxers who were massive.

I love all these classic references, as well. I especially like how some are still in their sprite form, like the ExciteBikes and the Advance Wars troops. I also love seeing full 3D recreations of them like they did with Little Mac and Pit. Fanservice can be great sometimes.

LOL Little Mac can kiss my ass. But really though, I have no interest in Nintendo anymore and I never once had any interest in Smash Bros, but I have to admit, they seem to be doing some good things with this iteration. No wonder it got delayed.

I think we should start submitting articles about characters that aren't in Brawl. I've never been a major fan of the series. I owned the first one for the 64 but I think I may have to buy this one for the sheer comprehensiveness of it.

Yeah I saw him first in a edited screenshot. He looks like a pretty nice AT. Can't wait to see Sonic get the shi+ beat out of him. XD

Hahaha! He's so small and fun. I saw these screenies on ONM a few days ago, and it was pretty funny. I'm really liking these assist trophies, they look fun.
