Alot of greenness in the screenshots!

In the game are you an environmentalist or something or did they just want to use green alot?

There's just a lot of green.

Etrian Odyssey is a first person RPG where you explore a labyrinth, and you get to make the map for it.

Man this game sounds good if you can make the map!
Labyrinth themed games i like (e.g: Wolfenstein)

So is this game based on an anime or did the developers just want the characters to look animeish?

Not based on an anime. Just good character design, my friend.

I believe the original producer has since left the project which might be worrisome for those who really dug the first game, but the ground is already very solid. It's hard to mess up, as the new features are already improvements as a whole! C'mon Atlus, don't be shy in localizing the sequel now. I showed my support for the first!

Ohh, I really want this game, it looks really interesting, RPG games like this always intrigue me. xD. I hope they bring it over here, because from Wolfwood's comment it doesn't seem to want to come out to Canada =[.
