Dark Sector Developer Interview

nousemerk | October 05, 2007 | News | PC Playstation 3
PSU interviews developer from Digital Extremes about Dark Sector and DualShock 3. Since the devs have had time with the technology they give some interesting feedback about their feelings on the new hardware.
PSU: The motion sensing feature of the SIXAXIS controller surprised most developers when it was announced because most did not know about it. Was it with the same with vibration (DualShock 3) support, or have you known about it for some time?

Carter: One of the nice things about developing our own engine (Dark Sector is running on our Evolution Engine) is that we can easily plug-in new cool features like DualShock 3. We did get a heads up from Sony prior to the announcement, so I wouldn't say it was a surprise.

I just don't care about the SIXAXIS controller anymore! It tried to copy Nintendos Wiimote and did a bad job at it and by having interviews with the makers of the software it's just boring now...

The pictures of the game have got amazing graphics. Games are really expanding to better graphics over the years that I can even imagine what they are going to be like in the future. Looks like a very nice game.
