Halo 3 disappoints yet again

tekmosis | September 28, 2007 | News | XBOX 360
Right after being disappointed due to scratched discs Halo 3 fans are now crying upset because a feature that was promised to be in the game, by not one but many Bungie employees is no where to be seen.

What feature is this? an in-game browser which makes finding particular types of games easier to join. Yet another thing that should of been standard on Halo 2. So far 35 pages worth of "signed" messages of users supporting this.

Not to mention more complaints does Halo 3 really deserve all the praise it's been getting?

Halo haters will continue to convince the fans that the game was a disappointment, while the fans are having too much fun playing the game to read this bullshit. Sure this feature would be great, but a thread title like "Halo 3 disappoints yet again"? Give me a *bleep*ing break.

Total agreeance. This type of stuff is derived from Sony fanboys who are jealous they still have no killer app for their PS3.

Come on! Seriously! The title of this doesn't make any sense! It's ONE thing. And like TommyVercetti said, it would be a nice feature, but just because it isn't in Halo 3 doesn't mean the game is disappointing.

Really, there are plenty of reasons for someone to be disappointed with Halo 3. Especially if they were expecting the g.g.o.a.t (greatest game of all time) But Halo 3 has easily top five and probably the best matchmaking server of any game out there. PC included.

Love the reactions from all the Halo fanboys or those with a bit of a closed mind (: DFK, apparently you aren't aware about the scratched discs or even bothered to look at that forum post. The person who even made that forum post isn't a Halo hater, in fact he's a fan.

Also, note that I never said the game was disappointing, you're assuming things. Give you a break? no. Why should I tip toe around the issue or praise the game as the greatest game of all time?

I've heard about the scratched disks, but that's not what this article is concerning. And I didn't say anything about the forum post. You take that up with TommyVercetti.

Ummm...Im going to explain to you all the reasons that this post makes no sense.
      1. No one has made a fanboy comment in this board. You seem to like reading between the lines so notice I didn't say nobody here is a fanboy just not a single person has said "OMG Halo is perfect in every way." Stop throwing around the word fanboy asshole

      2. WTF are you talking about? Give me a break? For what? I didn't assume anything about what you said. This is your first damn post.

        1) Notice that I myself also never declared anyone as being a fanboy. I simply stated that I love the reactions from Halo fanboys or those with a closed mind.
        2) Would be appreciated if you would stop throwing the word "asshole" around.
        3) I wasn't talking to you, read TommyVercetti's first comment, and I quote "Give me a *bleep*ing break". Please read a bit more thoroughly. It'll save you from looking like a total tool (:

Rofl missed that give me a break thing. Sorry about that.

Still if you're not calling anyone here a fanboy who are you calling. Most of the forum just said "signed" or basically stated that they would like to see this feature.

I was speaking in generalities, not necessarily this post in particular.

I wonder what fraction of disks are scratched?

Anyway this feature doesnt sound all that important. Did Bungie ever promise it would be in there in the first place

Yeah, did Bungie ever promise that it would be there? Also, I've heard about the scrathed disks.

You know, I'm betting that there's going to be a huge amount of articles and such like this for the next week or two.

Honestly I won't bother reading many of them since they'll either be from Halo haters or Halo fans expecting the "SUPA 1337 AWESOMENESS GAME OF ALL TIME" being disappointed due to way too high expectations and such.

I've heard about the scratched disks but I want proof in the form of numbers or pictures and such, not just words.

Proof - Okay, here you go ^^ :
(( This picture was in my local newspaper as they did an article on it ... ))

      Scratched Disc Image

As you can see, the game is definitely scratched too much to be played.

Yeah not yet, but that's only one for Microsoft, halo wars is an RTS. What do Sony have? Zone of the Enders 3, Metal Gear Solid 4 Final Fantasy 13, Granturismo 5, Jak 4, Ratchet and Clank...

Uh oh. Scratched discs? How did they all manage to be scratched though? There couldn't be a mistake on that many discs.

LMAO, i know Halo 3 wont be that amazing. Bungie just had a very bad stuff giving up on promised stuff, they are so confident, it might hurt them really bad.

Hmm... I can't say I'm surprised. It would be impossible for Halo 3 to live up to the all the hype. In the end, the fact that so many Halo fanboys praised the series as perfect, the developers most likely didn't put their best effort into it. Why strive for greatness when everyone claims you've already reached it? Heh...

Well that is true. I am a halo fan and i was pissed about the game. The game wasn't as good as i thought it was going to be. And once i found about that scratched disc luckily mines wasn't scratched.
