A big loss to Rally Racing and racing game enthusiasts everywhere. After cheating death countless of times as rally racings awesome driver he fell to a bit of bad luck this time.

Sad. Just sad... He was my favourite non-finnish rally driver. And i hear he was planning a comeback to the rally scene...

Great loss for rally games? What about his wife who lost her husband and 5 year old son?

Um not sure, they didn't add her but im sure that she is mourning her loss, however may i add they didn't find the 5 year old son body yet so until they do he's dead as of right now, and the other 2 body are also not seen yet.

So sad, I wonder if they will make any more games now that he's dead

I dunno about all these games (Don't play them), but if they legally can, they will....Why? They'll probably call the next one 'in his honor', but it is really just to make more money...they'll probably hope to get some extra 'pity buys' because the guy is now dead...

Eh, don't know, and don't care...

Pretty cheap arse death...its like...surviving countless bullets and missiles in a game, but dying because some of some lame hole in the ground...except...

Well life is full of surprises and horrific events. Its not like he wanted to die that way or ever.

Colin Mcrae was a legend in his field, though I never surported him at the sport he will always be the legend of it.

What's to stop Codemaster's retaining the legendary name of McRae even after his unfortunate passing? I don't understand.

And RIP Mr McRae, you were pretty rad.

Pretty awesome way to go out if you ask me. I mean were all going to die someday so might as well go with a bang and with a cool death.

Dying with your son like that is horrendous, I see no coolness in that.

Colin McRae was a legend, and it is tragic that he had to pass away so suddenly. My dad knew him a bit too and said that he was a great guy to talk to. RIP.

I don't really see how this involves games. And this is kinda old news if you ask me.

Indeed, he's only helped lead WRC titles to the mainstream for ages since the days of the PSX. He has no involvement at all in developing rally titles outside of the arcade realm to actually utilize the stage system, a damage model and much more.

The news isn't very old at all, unless you're from the future?

Try to read the articles before just going "uh this doesn't have to do with games"

That sucks... I guess Travis Pastrana will be the new face of Off road rally cross racing.
