Mess With The PS3 And Mess With The Yakuza

Krunal | September 12, 2007 | News | Playstation 3
Relations between Yakuza and the Playstation 3 became stronger as details were released in the Famitsu magazine stating that Yakuza 3: Kenzan would be coming exclusively to the PS3. Looks like another good haul for Sony.
Details announced in the latest issue of Famitsu say the adventure game will take place in 1605 Japan -- the Edo period -- and players will lead the charge as Japan's most famous swordsman and the author of the Book of Five Rings Musashi Miyamoto. Bringing down the bad guys will mean implementing four fighting styles -- weaponless, one sword, two sword, and broadsword -- and a number of special moves.

Wait, but...Yakuza 2 was never localized to North America and was exclusive to Japan. How can they call this Yakuza 3? You can't jump releases from 1 to 3.

I'd rather wait until the price of the PS3 has dropped, then I'll buy it and this game.
