Folklore to re-write the PS3's software future?

mistermostyn | August 17, 2007 | News | Playstation 3
Who says the PlayStation 3 doesn't have some superb looking videogame releases on the way before the close of 2007? Heavenly Sword, Lair, WarHawk and Ratchet & Clank Future not enough for ya? Well, how about the action RPG beauty of Folklore?

Visit GamerSquad for the latest trailer footage from this new stunner that's due to arrive in October.
Exuding all the rendered quality and storytelling prowess of Resident Evil or Silent Hill, the Gaia-developed adventure (brainchild of Shin Megami Tensei creator Kouji Okada) looks like a real-time action title that’s packed with RPG leanings and takes an element of its battle inspiration from the Ghostbusters franchise.

Truly beautiful aesthetics ably showcase the PS3’s graphical powers while the in-game design, battles, and atmospherics also appear to be little short of top-drawer.

Folklore certainly appears to be one to watch for those PS3 devotees eager to level the (currently uneven?) playing field against mocking Xbox 360 fanbois intent on writing off Sony’s next-gen powerhouse.
