EA shows red card to online play in 49 games

Online gamers fond of button-mashing with pals around the world might be a little disgruntled to note that Electronic Arts is to withdraw online support for a wide-ranging selection of its titles, including the likes of Madden, FIFA, Tiger Woods, and Burnout...
‘Boo’ and indeed ‘hiss’ for evil, shadowy corporations. Electronic Arts has announced that it will be pulling the plug on the online modes of 49 of its games. Among those titles affected are several of the publisher’s ’06 sports titles - including FIFA, Madden, and Tiger Woods - and an assortment of Burnout and Need for Speed numbers.

    '06 titles? Come on you freakin cheapskates. Just buy the damn '07 and soon to be released '08 titles if you wanna keep playing online. This is hardly a big deal.

    Why have they done this I do not know, it is the main reason for playing any of there games in the first place. Online play owns, they are getting get hit because of this move.

    The problem is EA games get worse every year and some of the 06 ones are still better than 08.
