Nerf Wii Remote sleeve saves LIVES

mistermostyn | July 30, 2007 | News | Wii Gaming Tech/Hardware
For all those Wii owners who've suffered with snapping Wii Remote straps and subsequently replaced broken lounge lamps, smashed TVs, patio doors, and/or blood relatives, the new Nerf Wiimote sleeve is an absolute spongy gameplay blessing.
To some, the Nerf Wiimote sleeve will have arrived too late in the day to save that carelessly situated window or sensitive TV screen. To the rest of us however, there is sweet hope in Pelican’s spongy creation.

By attaching the sleeve to your Wii controller, you can finally stop fretting over your violent Wii Remote swings, safe in the knowledge that:

1) Your Wiimote won’t be leaving your hand anytime soon, and…

2) …even if it does, grandma’s remaining teeth are probably going to survive the impact.

Is this so much of a problem that we need to cover our Wiimotes with nerf? Why can't these *bleep*ers just hold on tight?

What this article is so misleading. Saving lives i don't recall furniture having lives in the first place mistermostyn. But its pretty funny title though.

That is why it is a joke.

Well written. The Wii Remote has never left my hand while playing (except for some mini-games in WarioWare, but you were supposed to!). I really don't see how people can let it slip so easily.

I don't think there's a need for this. How can it break or slip off your hand. Okay, sure it can break, but it'll be hard to and people just have to stop being so dramatic in their swings then.

The remote has left my hand once or twice but the strong strap is more then enough protection to prevent it flying into the tv. I'm sure it would be quite hard to damage a tv with it by accident anyway.

I think the only thing people need to worry about as far as death, is strangling somebody with the cord on a nunchuk controller. A Nerf Remote just screws everything up and makes the Wiimote sound like a cushon with buttons.
