Wii Zapper's latest competitor: the Rifle Gun Prop

mistermostyn | July 22, 2007 | News | Wii Gaming Tech/Hardware
As Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition cleary showed, the whole light-gun-style aspect of the Wii Remote is an especially strong gameplay aspect of Nintendo's latest hardware offering. And the recently unveiled Wii Zapper looks set to take that strength one step further. But what of alternatives to Nintendo's official peripheral? Meet the Rifle Gun Prop from DealExtreme.
If Nintendo's unveiling of the Wii Zapper at the recent E3 Media & Business summit wasn't enough to get your trigger finger a-twitching, then perhaps you might like to consider a more streamlined alternative from a third party instead.

The Rifle Gun Prop from DealExtreme offers exactly the same functionality as the Wii Zapper, but also ensures you'll look even more like a professional bounty hunter at the same time.

An interesting design, but I think I will wait to make a decision until I see what game the Zapper comes with.

I kind of like this design, but I like the Zapper better. I want to see all of the eventual gun casings to come before I make a decision.

BOTH ARE too big! Make something like the Light Gun Dreamcast had. That one was killer. THis one looks too long and clunky. you want to be able to move it back and forth with breeze

You need something that both hands can grip, so it has to be fairly long.

Why not just have a pistol type thing?

Unless it's colored orange like the original Duck Hunters rifle, I can ensure this new third party rifle can cause trouble...

Hm, I'm not too sure about this. I think I'd rather try one out, before purchasing one myself.
