Age of Empires creator inducted into AIAS Hall of Fame

The Academy of Arts & Sciences announced that they will be inducted Bruce Shelley into the Hall of Fame. The event will take place at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas on February 18, 2009.

Bruce Shelley is a veteran in the industry having worked with Sid Meier on the Civilization series and eventually became the creator of the Age of Empires series.

Tony Goodman, founder of Ensemble Studios, states:
Bruce has always been at the center of the gaming universe.

...he was the Godfather of Ensemble Studios presiding over Age of Empires, which is one of the most influential franchises of today’s mature videogame industry.
