Japanese Woman Arrested for Virtual Murder

HawkMan | October 24, 2008 | News | PC
MapleStory must be a lovely game, although odd. You can marry and divorce in this game, though one women took her virtual vows seriously and killed her ex-virtual husband's avatar. She is now being charged with hacking and other violations.

Don't know about you, but I play video games to get away from crazy a$$ women.
"A 43-year-old Japanese woman whose sudden divorce in a virtual game world made her so angry that she killed her online husband's digital persona has been arrested on suspicion of hacking, police said Thursday."

Hilarious to be honest and of course, it would have to be Japan. Oh well, killing is killing I guess!

Ok, first let me state that I don't have much of a clue about this game. Now that's out of the way, if you can get charged from killing an avatar on a game then things are pretty sad. Even just hacking/cheating on a game. It's sort of lame to be charged for it, now being banned I could understand, but charged? It just sounds like it's just a tad too far.
